Advanced screen acting is not about simply memorizing lines or demonstrating emotion. It is about developing specific, repeatable craft that remains truthful under the pressure and precision of the camera.
At Alza Acting Studio, experienced actors work on advanced scene study, character development, director-actor communication, close-up technique, movement, preparation and the ability to make strong choices quickly.
The training is led by award-winning actor, filmmaker and coach Walter Alza, whose professional career spans more than three decades and over 120 film and television appearances.
The studio is located in downtown Toronto near Yonge & Bloor, placing actors in a professional on-camera training environment focused specifically on film and television.

Working actors do not always have predictable schedules. Auditions, bookings, travel and production can make a full consecutive session difficult.
The Advanced Flex Pass gives qualifying actors access to individual Advanced Acting classes over a six-month period while allowing Alza Acting Studio to protect class size, level and training quality.
This is not a drop-in class. Each requested class must be approved and confirmed by the studio.

Who can take the Advanced Acting Class?
The class is intended for experienced actors with previous professional acting training or equivalent film and television experience. Alza Acting Studio may request information about your training, acting experience or previous work before approving placement.
How does the 3-Class Advanced Flex Pass work?
The pass includes three approved Advanced Acting classes that may be used during the six months following purchase. The classes do not need to be taken consecutively.
Can I choose any Wednesday I want?
You may request a preferred date, but purchasing the pass does not guarantee that date. Requests must be made at least eight full days in advance and are subject to class capacity, appropriate placement and studio approval.

Alza Acting Studio is located at 7 Hayden Street, Suite 207S, Toronto, Ontario, near Yonge and Bloor in downtown Toronto.
What if I want a full acting-class session instead?
Actors who can attend a complete scheduled session can view the full Alza Acting Studio class schedule and regular Advanced Acting Class registration on the main studio website.
